Amar'e Listed as Questionable vs The Detroit Pistons with a Knee Sprain. Shawne Williams Out With a 1 Game Suspension for His Role in Brawl.

The day might have finally arrived. The day that Knicks fans will find out how good their team is without their leader, Amar'e Stoudermire. Amar'e apparently suffered a sprain knee during the ruckus between Shawne Williams and Marvin Williams.  Marvin accidentally fell and rolled up under Amare's knee.  Because of Stoudermire's history with knee surgery, it maybe best if the Knicks sit him for a least this game against the Pistons, although Amar'e finished yesterday's game after sustaining the injury.  The Knicks will be without Shawne Williams who received a one game suspension for his role in the brawl.

So this will indeed be a test for the Knicks and for certain players who we've waiting for to take their game to the next level. Danilo Gallinari is one that comes to mind.  Danilo can use this game to prove that his game is not flat lining due to the arrival of Amar'e, and that his game has actually improved compared to last year. Danilo has yet to impress me, especially giving the fact that he has been given the chance to step up and be the number two scoring option for the Knicks and doesn't give a decent effort on the glass enough.

Surprisingly, names like Anthony Randolph, Kelenna Azubuike, and Timofey Mozgov are popping up as players that may finally see some day light on the court (But at the same time, don't hold your breath).  Raymond Felton must also step it up as well ensure some success. I expect Bill Walker and Landry Fields to have increased roles as well.  All in all, I hope Amar'e gets well soon but until then, this should be an interesting game vs the Pistons.  Landry is playing so well, word is that he might have played himself out of New York.  If the Knicks are involved in a trade for Carmelo any time soon, Landry's name will most certainly be called, along with his cool $473,000 salary that will allow a team to add a superb player to the roster and at the same time avoid putting a major dent in payroll.
