Shake up in the Carmelo Anthony Saga, William "Worldwide" Wesley to Try to Re-engage the Chicago Bulls Into Deal

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports has reported that William "Worldwide" Wesley will try to re-engage the Chicago Bulls in trade talks for Carmelo Anthony.  Wesley is a well known figure around the NBA amongst players and seems to have somewhat of an influence on them.  From what I understand, Wesley is not an agent.  Wesley made headlines last year when he delivered Tom Thibodeau to CAA(Leon Rose's agency), and later the Chicago Bulls after Tom had announced that he would not sign with an agent during his search for a coaching job.  Then he later announced a prediction that the Chicago Bulls would land Lebron James, who he had also help delivery to CAA, along side Chris Bosh.  Earlier that year, he was said to be trying to put a package together to send Calipari and James to Chicago. But later as we all know, Chris Bosh and Lebron James all went to join Dwayne Wade in Miami.

So the question is will Wesley's influence have any impact on the trade for Carmelo and what is his relationship with the Chicago Bulls? Well I don't have the answer to the second question, but there must be some kind of internal relationship with Wesley the the Bulls organization for him to so much time and effort to delivery top-notch NBA assets to them. And as for his influence or impact on Carmelo's trade from Denver, if the past is any indication, as much as NBA players respect Wesley, players they have their own thoughts and ultimately make their own final decisions.

But worries me the most about this news is that Chicago is said  to be one Carmelo's preferred destinations that he would agree to sign an extension with. Also the another question that rings in the back of my head is, is this a request from Carmelo himself? Chicago had backed out of talks for the Nugget's forward because Denver insisted that Joakim Noah be the centerpiece in the deal. The Bulls would rather have Luol Deng as the center piece but Denver is reluctant to take on the years left on his contract and salary.  In the end, I believe this will just further complicate and prolong things as we approach the NBA trade deadline.  Carmelo may be playing for the Denver Nuggets a whole lot longer than anyone expected.  I might just cover my ears to all the Carmelo gossip until something actually happens.

William Wesley – Worldwide Wes – is expected to travel to Chicago for Bulls games on Thursday and Saturday against the Dallas Mavericks and Cleveland Cavaliers, a source said.
